Georgetown is situated in what some say is a prime location in central Texas. With I-35 running through the middle, newly-constructed SH 130 bordering the east, Highway 29 cutting east-west across town and beyond, and recently-expanded U.S. Route 183 granting easy access to central and southeast Austin, getting around the area is a snap.
As the county seat for Williamson County, the courthouse and sheriff’s office are located here, as well as a branch of the Texas Department of Public Safety. Taking care of local legal matters and renewing your driver license doesn’t even involve a highway.
If you do want to experience the many offerings down the road in Austin, it’s just a short 15-30 minute drive depending on where you’re headed. Utilizing one of the many highways mentioned above or driving the short distance to Wells Branch, then hopping on the Metro Rail will get you where you need to go. We’ll be here when you get back!
