Georgetown is in the early stages of our new public transportation system, but like any growing urban area, the increase in growth is pointing to a need for easy transit options. Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS) currently operates a city bus that makes 10 daily departures to nearby Round Rock, Taylor, and Austin. The bus stop is located at the corner of Ninth and Main Streets, at Grace Heritage Center.
Bus fare is $2 for a one-way fare in one county or a Metro Connector route or $4 for one-way trips anywhere in the CARTS district. An all-day pass is $6. Seniors 65 or older or persons with disabilities ride for half-fares. Riders should have exact change. Multi-Ride books are available in $20 and $40 denominations.
CARTS Metro Connector
